Trials of Timbuktu.

- Abstract
The article discusses the struggle of Mali against terrorist attacks. It notes that destabilization, Jihadism, and ethnic wars in Timbuktu, Mali have prompted countries like France, Great Britain, and Germany to consider the possibility of military intervention. It cites that the influence of Tuareg rebels in the region can be repelled or minimized through social programs, international efforts to provide financial aid, and the government's invitation to reconcile. Observers say that establishing trust in the dialogue between rebels and the government should be facilitated by a third-party such as the United Nations (UN), the U.S., or the African Union.
