- Abstract
We thank Dr Yang and colleagues for their interest and comments on our study about the association of fibroids with false-positive results on genome-wide non-invasive prenatal testing (GW-NIPT)1. The other four SA cases had a normal pre-NIPT scan and three had no detectable structural anomaly seen after the NIPT result, despite extensive ultrasound examinations. Our study involved a pre-NIPT ultrasound examination, which identified miscarriages (in which case, typically, NIPT was not undertaken) and pregnancies with obvious fetal structural anomalies (in which the option of definitive invasive testing was offered).
