BENIGN SABOTAGE AND DREIKURS' SECOND GOAL OF MISBEHAVIOR.
- Authors
King, Steven M.
- Abstract
Rudolf Dreikurs identified the second goal of children's misbehavior as the display of power over parents and others. He advised parents to withdraw from power struggles with children in order to end their misbehavior. An alternative to this withdrawal is the parents' use of benign sabotage. This simple approach allows parents to end power struggles effectively and appropriately.
