- Abstract
The article focuses on a research on the importance of Sfr1 protein repeats for homologous recombination in Schizosaccharomyces pombe Yeast in mitosis. Topics include importance of homologous recombination for the synapse of homologues in the first meiotic division in meiosis and reparation of DNA damages in mitosis; functions of Rad51 protein in mitosis, binding of recombinogenic single-stranded DNA regions to replication protein A (RPA); and interaction of the Sfr1 protein with the Rad51.
