- Abstract
The article gives the technical details of an immunofluorescence procedure that was specially developed for the study of intracellular immunoglobulins but also proved useful for other purposes. The fluorescent antibody technique has found wide application in the study of cells engaged in the synthesis of immunoglobulins. For this purpose imprints, smears or tissue sections have been used, but correct evaluation ofthe localization of the fluorescence may be impeded by the interference of immunoglobulins in the serum adhering to the preparation.
