The article examines the internal secretory structures in stems of Silphium perfoliatum L. (Asteraceae). It explores the location and structure of secretory reservoirs in the stem using the light microscopy in cup plant stems. Results of the study indicated that the secretory canals formed two rings, an external ring and the internal ring.
