Abstract
Cover Photo: Reductions in river inflows in arid and semi‐arid regions under climate change are driving changes in floodplains and the ecosystem services they provide. Modified ecosystems will provide different services which, if managed wisely, can help people adapt to climate change. The image shows Monoman Creek on the River Murray Floodplain, South Australia, in March 2008, with fringing river red gums (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) in poor condition following extended drought (image credit: Ian Overton).
