The article presents a study of woody plants and their possible effect on streamflow of semiarid karst rangelands. It highlights the impact of human population growth on the ecosystems and water supply leading the significance of comprehending the link between the plants and water yield in drylands. An overview of ecohydrology and analysis of runoff is also presented.
