The article presents a study on the effects of predator abundance and the variability of climate. It highlights the success of veeries (Catharus fuscescens) in creating nests in the Japanese barberry (Berberis thunbergii) in New York. An overview of the white-footed mouse, substrates and the effect of invasive species on communities is also presented.
