- Abstract
The objective is to examine how black women with disabilities perceive the intersectionality of oppressive structures of race, gender, class, and disability. The research adopts a qualitative approach and the technique of narrative appreciation, through interpretative discourse analysis. The script for data collection was developed on Google Forms and the form was published on the researchers' social networks, in addition to the use of the Snowball technique. Four black women with disabilities, living in the metropolitan region of Minas Gerais, low-income, predominantly aged over 40, participated in the study. This study reveals challenges faced by black women with disabilities in the job market who, despite their educational background, still face prejudice, discrimination, invisibility, inequalities, lack of accessibility, subordination, and lack of opportunities. The intersectionality of race, gender, and disability increases marginalization. Therefore, there is a pressing need for effective policies to guarantee inclusion and equality. Raising awareness about sexism, racism, and ableism from childhood is essential to combat structural prejudice and promote a fairer society.
