- Abstract
The study aimed to identify the panorama of academic productions that address the effects of increased job insecurity on new career designs. This is a bibliographic search that, through a search conducted in the databases of ISI Web of Science, Scopus/Elsevier, Scientific Electronic Library Online, and EBSCO, identified articles that addressed this theme in the period between 1995 and 2018. The results of the study show the growth of publications on the subject in recent years, with emphasis on studies elaborated in England, Germany, and Brazil. With regard to the themes analyzed, whereas these deal with various activities, but especially about careers of teachers, the creative industries and health, professions that need a greater qualification from the worker. Yet, professions with less complexity or requiring low education showed few studies, indicating little interest from the academic community. Also, it found that the studies favored categories such as gender, race, age, as well as singular aspects such as the subjective precariousness and the influence of ideological factors and social status that considered "attractives" in precarious work.
