- Title
BAKER RESPONDS.
- Authors
Baker, Jeffrey P.
- Abstract
The article presents a response to Ellen K. Silbergeld on comment made by him on the author's article "Mercury, Vaccines, and Autism: One Controversy, Three Histories." The author says that it is true that thimerosal was recognized to cause topical hypersensitivity as measured by skin tests. He says that although more recent studies have shown that methylmercury has similar effects on the nervous system to those of ethylmercury, their distinctive toxicokinetics remain important.
