- Abstract
This article provides an analysis of the proprietary trading provisions of the final regulations adopted by the federal banking agencies, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to implement Section 13 of the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, commonly known as the "Volcker Rule," and their implications for affected institutions. A subsequent article will provide an analysis of the covered fund provisions and their implications for affected institutions.
