- Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System's (FR) policy towards the financial stability analysis of bank and nonbank acquisitions as of April 2012. The FR's issuance of an order which approved Capital One Financial Corp.'s acquisition of ING Bank, fsb, along with PNC Financial Services Group's acquisition of RBC Bank, are examined. The financial stability analysis requirements contained in the U.S. Dodd-Frank Act of 2010 are also mentioned.
