“No Individual Can Resist”:Minima Moraliaas Critique of Forms of Life.
- Authors
Jaeggi, Rahel
- Abstract
This article discusses the philosophical issues raised by Theodore Adorno in his book "Minima Moralia: Reflections From Damaged Life." The article particularly addresses the issue of whether forms of life can be criticized. In reading "Minima Moralia" as a critique of forms of life, the author's interest is less in interpreting its various substantive motifs than its critical method. In this article, the key to understanding "Minima Moralia" lies, on the one hand, in the connection between social criticism and ethics and, on the other hand, in its specific form of negativism.
