Title
High-Volume Portable Music Players May Impair Ability to Clearly Discriminate Sounds.
Abstract
The article explains the impact of high-volume portable music players towards the ability of people in identifying various sounds through a published research in the March 2, 2011 issue of "PLoS ONE." The study assessed brain reactions of 2 groups of 13 young adults through magnetoencephalography, where the 1st group listened to full-volume music. Results showed that high-volume sounds disrupt brain nerves and ears, resulting to inability in identifying sounds.
