- Abstract
The article discusses a study that examined a strategy against antimicrobial resistance based on the de-escalation of antibiotics recommended by the Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines. Topics discussed include various strategies adopted to fight antibiotic resistance, the de-escalation process based on available antibiograms with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of each antibiotic and the importance of de-escalation as part of armamentarium against multidrug-resistant pathogens.
