A variety of interviews are available for the diagnosis of depressive disorders, and even more rating scales for the severity rating. Both procedural groups are, however, little used in everyday clinical practice for status diagnosis, even less in the course of therapy. This article provides an overview of approaches and procedures that can be used in the course of a therapy in a meaningful manner with the aim of obtaining information on the treatment and their evaluation.
