- Abstract
The article presents a study of the judicial decisions of Supreme Court justice Anthony Scalia, focusing particularly on cases involving the influence, or lack thereof, of his Originalist beliefs, his understanding of the U.S. Constitution and its lasting influence on contemporary law. It studies the case of Lucas v. South Carolina Coastal Council, providing an overview of the case and the legal decision writing by Scalia.
