- Abstract
The article highlights the risk assessment given by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) that declares that the food products from cloned cattle, pigs and goats are safe for human consumption. According to the author, despite on concurring of the conclusion of the DFA, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has ordered a continual of the current voluntary moratorium on cloned food products. He added that European Commission (EC) officials has been urged by the members of the European Forum of Animal Breeders not to impose a moratorium for it will send a wrong signal.
