- Abstract
The article reports that the expected success of the drug innovation policy in China will be affected by the reluctance of some government agencies in implemeting the policy. The five-year guidelines for the drug industry was created by China's National Development and Reform Commission. Although observers welcome the new policy as a remedy for some existing weaknesses of the pharmaceutical sector, many doubt that it will have the intended effect.
