- Abstract
The article discusses American constitutional law and a reported split among several Federal Circuit Courts in the U.S. in regards to cases involving the Fourth Amendment to the nation's Constitution as of October 2012. The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the 2011 case United States v. Faulkner is addressed, along with the exclusionary rule of evidence and police search and seizure practices. Other topics include legal standards of review, criminal prosecutions, and a good faith legal exception.
