The article talks about the occupationally transmitted HIV outside the health care industry as a surfacing problem that presents new challenges in determining the scope of occupational disease coverage under state workers' compensation schemes. This literature also explores details of the worker's compensation system, the AIDS epidemic, and the difficulty of applying workers' compensation and torts standards to occupationally transmitted HIV cases.
