The article discusses the history and modern jurisprudence of transient jurisdiction, relating the decisions to the court case of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and automobile company Daimler AG. Topics discussed include the court case Burnham v. Superior Court and on what the court may have missed, and on how the reasoning of the cases of Goodyear and Daimler make slap service untenable.
