- Abstract
The article discusses how the Voting Rights Act may had its greatest impact on Alabama voting rights due the decision of a U.S. court case "Dillard v. Crenshaw County." It reports the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in City of Mobile v. Bolden held that, in order to obtain relief under the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, plaintiffs must prove intentional discrimination behind the method of electing members of a local governing body.
