- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines which categories of the special education expenditures predict the adequate yearly progress (AYP) in reading and mathematics of special needs students in Ohio for the school year 2008-2009. The study includes 594 school districts and uses binary logistic regression. It shows that catastrophic expenditures has a small positive contribution to predict if students meet AYP in reading.
