- Abstract
The article focuses on the behavioral response evoked by the rescue of 155 passengers of the U.S. Airways Flight 1549 that ditched in the Hudson River in the New York City on January 15, 2009 that was previously called mutual aid by Prince Pyotr Kropotkin and currently described by microbiologists as quorum sensing. It also places emphasis on feminist Margaret Fuller, who wrote the book "Woman in the Nineteenth Century," which anticipated the feat of Captain Brittany Catanzaro. It relates that Kropotkin became an editor of the "Nature" periodical.
