The article discusses the spatial variation of popular cultures. Investigating into cross-cultural dynamics, the author analyzes anthropological and geographical view points. Various topics such as serendipity, bureaucratic inevitability, inter-disciplinary nature of geography, particularly the relations with ecology, environment and economic disciplines, and others are discussed.
