Title
MONETARY POLICY.
Abstract
The article presents predictions on the monetary policy of Ukraine, as forecasted by the International Center for Policy Studies (ICPS) analysts. Analysts anticipate the interest rates on hryvnia and interbank credit markets to decline as liquidity improves in the banking system. With the seasonal shortfall on the current account balance in 2008, inflow of foreign capital is seen to lead a short-term upward pressure on the hryvnia compared to U.S. dollar.
