Title
FOREIGN TRADE.
Abstract
The article discusses 2006 results and forecasts for Ukraine's foreign trade in March 2007. Results for 2006 show exports grew 12.1% with contributions from steel products, mechanical equipment, chemical products and oil-bearing crops and vegetable oil, while imports grew 24.6%, with machines, equipment and vehicles contributing the most. As a result of the rapid growth of imports that will outpace exports, experts expect the trade and current account deficit to grow over 2007 to 2009.
