- Abstract
The article presents a discussion about speech-communication as an art. It becomes compatible with neo-romanticism when described as an art. During the time of the enlightenment, neo-romanticism had replaced the concepts of will, faith, and authority with reason and knowledge. Also, body action became more popular than words. As a result, a relationship was formed between rhetoric and neo-romanticism. Also, speech-communication is somewhat dependent on rationalism. Knowledge is also an important aspect in the development of the art of rhetoric.
