- Abstract
The article critiques the satires of Sir Thomas Wyatt as poems which dramatize and delineate the problem of the learned man's role in the Tudor court. It addresses the disillusionment of Tudor-era courtiers, as well as comments on the life of the country squire. It explores poems including "In court to serve," "Myne owne John Poynz," and Wyatt's translation of Plutarch's "The Quyete of Mynde."
