The article reports on the introduction of cavity-backed slot (CBS) antenna which measures 1.6 millimeter by 1.2 millimeter, developed by Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)'s Institute of Microelectronics (IME). Topics discussed include features of the antenna such as 135 gigahertz (GHz) operations, the importance of CBS for wireless communication system, and insights of researcher Hu Sanming regarding the IME antenna project.
