- Abstract
The article presents a study to evaluate the effect of infliximab on serum cystatin C level and its relation with changes in creatinine, glomerular filtration rate (GFR), inflammatory indices and Disease Activity Score (DAS) 28 in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with initially normal creatinine level. The study suggests that after one dose of infliximab the increase in serum cystatin C level in patients with RA is likely caused by the decrease in serum amyloid A level SAA).
