- Abstract
This article discusses a case study of a 48-year-old female who presented with blurred vision in both eyes. The patient was diagnosed with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease, a rare systemic inflammatory disease that affects melanocyte-rich tissues such as the eyes, inner ear, meninges, skin, and hair. The disease typically follows four phases, with symptoms including choroidal inflammation, optic disk edema, and skin depigmentation. Treatment with glucocorticoids and other immunosuppressive therapy resulted in improvement in vision and resolution of symptoms. The prognosis for VKH disease is generally favorable with appropriate treatment.
