- Abstract
A cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the profile as well as to assess some markers in patients with chest infections. The study Included (200) patients with different chest infections with age ranged between (1month-80) years old from both sexes (males and females) with in a period of November (2017)to March (2018). Patient's data were collected from each subjects who were inpatient and outpatients in Merjan Teaching Hospital in Babylon province. The patients distributed in to inpatients 118(59%) and outpatients 82(41%) from both sexes male 111(55.5%), female 89(44.5%). The collection data divided the chest infections in to pneumonia 101(50.5%) while bronchitis, chronic bronchitis and acute bronchitis 36(18%), 63(31.5%)respectively. The geographic distribution reveled to as rural 102(51%) and urban 98(49%). Also seasonal variations immune status before infection and antibiotics profile for all cases were included in recent study. All cases of chest infections related to many factors such as age, immune status, seasonal variation and missuses of antibiotics.
