- Abstract
In order to ensure traction engines running on ballastless track of intercity railway designed with ZC live load, Guangzhou - Qingyuan (Guangzhou North Station to Qingyuan Station) Intercity Railway (ballastless track) is used to transport rail materials for adjacent under-construction lines. This is the first successful case at home and abroad that rail materials are transported via existing ballastless track of the operation line of intercity railway. This paper analyzes the feasibility and safety of material transportation by existing ballastless track, aiming to fill gaps in domestic research in this field and provide significant reference and guidance for other similar engineering projects. In summary, it mainly discusses four issues as the adaptability of transport vehicles to the maximum slope of intercity railway, the adaptability of bridge structures to on-line transport vehicles, the adaptability of track structure to on-line transport vehicles, and the influence of rail materials transportation on the passing capacity of Guangzhou - Qingyuan Intercity Railway. First, it analyzes and solves the problem of the adaptability of material transport vehicles to the maximum slope of intercity railway through evaluation of traction calculation simulation experiment. Subsequently, based on on-line test data of material transport vehicles, it explores how transport vehicles affect the safety of bridges and track structures, and solves the safety and reliability problems of transport vehicles. Finally, the adaptability of rail material transportation and passenger transportation is explained and solved in accordance with the realities of Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway, bus operation plans and the type of skylights. In a word, this study theoretically demonstrates that: vehicles for rail material transportation can adapt to the maximum slope of intercity railway; bridge structures can adapt to the load of transport vehicles; dynamic indexes and driving safety indexes of each part of ballastless track structure meet requirements of relevant regulations. The demand for rail material transportation is satisfied with rail transportation capacity outside skylight during non-passenger transportation period of Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway. The research results are tested on the Guangzhou - Qingyuan Intercity Railway, which verifies the feasibility and safety to transport rail material via existing ballastless track of intercity railways.
