- Abstract
In order to explore the weathering characteristics of the surface of landscape timber structure buildings in local area, through observing and comparing the appearance of landscape timber buildings, the common types of weathering characterization were summarized, and the color change and surface cracking phenomena were quantified and analyzed. The results showed that:1) The characteristics of weathering were mainly reflected in the discoloration, cracking, peeling and wind erosion on the building surface. 2) Based on the CIE Lab color system, the brightness of the outside was greater than that of the inside, and the color of the outside surface was light. The redness of the front side of the door panel was obviously less than that of the backside. At the same time, the degree of yellow color changed greatly and had an obvious dispersion trend. 3) Taking the peripheral columns as the investigation sample, the crack trend was mainly WS and W. Almost all cracks were vertical fractures, and the distribution of crack dip angles was consistent. The density of cracks in E and ES directions was larger, and the change of crack aperture and longitudinal length roughly coincided with the trend of density change.
