- Abstract
This essay discusses the poetry of Japanese American poet Lawson Fusao Inada, particularly how he has written about the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II and of the "no-no boys" who refused to join the U.S. military during the war. The history of Tule Lake, where one Japanese American internment camp was located, is discussed, as is Inada's volume of poetry "Legends from Camp," which contains the poem "At the Stronghold."
