- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined the estrogenic activity of insecticides quinalphos and aldrin in female rats. The study used 24 sexually immature and 24 mature rats, which were divided into three groups respectively. Immature rats of first two groups were injected with aldrin and quinalphos respectively at a dose of 1 mg/kg/day for 3 days. Research found a significant increase in the weights of uteri in immature and ovariectomized mature rats treated with the insecticides.
