- Abstract
Rumi, who was trained by Anatolian territory in 13th century, is a powerful representative of Turkish-Islamic literature. "The Story of the Puppies of Goose That Are Trained By Chicken" and the story of "Imprisonment of the Gazelle Puppy to the Barn of Donkeys'" in the Masnavi were eligible to be examined in the context of the nature of human and the superior abilities. To be the hero in these stories of animals desired message is conveyed to the reader by taking almost in the same thematic framework. According to Rumi human is a kind that emerges from the soil of the world but his abilities are not only for this world. Indeed, human who is "can exactly be understood by the sea" in the words of Rumi belongs to eternity, in a way. Rumi's works had come into being under the strong . Therefore, the aim in both stories that have been mentioned as other stories in Masnavi is the religious and mystical essence. In these stories Rumi, explains the duality of soul and body and the longing of the soul to the original homeland with the examples from the animal kingdom which he brought up at the beginning of the Masnavi with nay metaphor.
