- Abstract
Despite the many studies of neglecting some of the Arabic syntactic signs, this research came - in an unprecedented way - to reveal the problems raised about the possibility of using the syntactic signs for the present verbs ending in Arabic vowels when they are preceded by "Al-Jazim" which are Arabic words or prepositions that precede the Arabic verbs in Jazm cases, and tried to approximate the scattered directives and interpretations of grammarians by analyzing models from the Holy Qur'an and The Holy Sunnah, eloquent Arabic poetry, and the words of the Arabs, and conducting their discussions and interpretations of everything that violated the syntactic principles and rules. I have made this research in two subjects preceded by an introduction, and followed with a conclusion as follows: The first subject: { Discardig "Jazm": concept, and procedure}. The second subject: { Discardig "Jazm" with the presence of Al-Jazim}. Conclusion: It contains the most important results, including: * Discarding the syntactic sign "Jazm" for the present verbs ending in Arabic vowels with the presence of "Al-Jazim" has justifications and reasons and isn't always implied in odd cases. The research showed that the ancient grammarians agreed on recommending phonetic satiation as contained in the Holy Quran, its readings, and the words of the Arabs, with the interpretation of the modern linguists who thinks that the Arabic vowels are long sound vowels and that the difference between them and their short coordinates is in the quantity and the duration of time. Thus keeping the vowels with the presence of "Al-Jazm" or Deleting them without any change in their morphology is a clear evidence that they are sounds that can be short and long. This vocal reason is the cause of discarding the syntactic sign "Jazm" for the present verbs ending in Arabic vowels with the presence of "Al-Jazim. The research proved that there is no contradiction between the conception of the ancient grammarians and the follower ones in the terms of a letter and long sound vowel; Because they are letters in terms of functional phoneme, and saturated sounds (long sound vowels) in phonetic.
