- Abstract
The performance of soil particles adhering to external media after interaction with water is called soil adhesion, and the strength of this adhesion ability is usually measured by adhesion force. The change of external medium characteristics and soil composition will change the adhesion of soil, which will lead to the increase of energy consumption of various transportation machinery and the decrease of work efficiency. In order to find out the influence degree of different external loads on the adhesion characteristics, the sub -clay and Lanzhou loess were selected for adhesion experiments, and the distribution of the adhesion peak value under the loading conditions of 500, 750, 1 000 and 1 500 g was analyzed. The correlation between adhesion and deformation was obtained by combining the results of microcosmic image processing of test soil samples with Image-ProPlus and Adobe Photoshop. The results showed that with the increase of moisture content, the adhesive force increased firstly, reached the peak value and then decreased. With the increase of external load, the moisture content required to reach the peak of the adhesive force gradually decreased, and the adhesive force increased with the increase of external load. As the adhesive force increased, the deformation area generated by the separation of the contact surface would also increase. The adhesive force can be estimated by observing the deformation area.
