- Abstract
In order to significantly improve the energy saving of the hydraulic system of large straw baler, an energy recovery system was designed. The working mode of baler hydraulic system was analyzed, and the energy loss in throttling and overflow stage was calculated according to the hydraulic control scheme of baling forming. The three-chamber hydraulic cylinder was directly connected with the accumulator to design the energy recovery circuit, therefore, the energy utilization of the system was effectively improved and the complexity of the hydraulic circuit was reduced. The system simulation model was built based on AMESim software to study the dynamic response characteristics of hydraulic cylinder and the change law of hydraulic pump energy consumption in a single baling forming cycle. The results show that under the action of the energy recovery system, the energy consumption of the hydraulic pump can be reduced by more than 60%, and the stroke of the three-chamber hydraulic cylinder can maintain high control accuracy and stability. In the pressure release stage of the accumulator, the average power of the hydraulic pump can be reduced by more than 75%. The energy saving effect and cost performance of the entire hydraulic system were significantly improved. The research provides a reference for improving the working life and stability of the hydraulic system of large straw baler.
