- Abstract
This article explores the history of segregation and racial discrimination in education in Arkansas. The author reflects on the accreditation of black high schools and legal precedents establishing segregated schools. Emphasis is given to topics related to Lincoln High School of Forrest City, Arkansas such as the leadership of principal Cota Theophilus Cobb, the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, and the teaching and administrative career of former student Odie Jordan.
