- Abstract
The article focuses on the issue of human rights abuse of mining industries. Topics include the factors that cause the proliferation of mining activities on a global scale including the demands for metals as energy sources and increasing demands for metals due to economic expansion of some countries and the reports of social conflict and human rights abuse brought by the expansion of mining industries. Also highlighted are mining companies involved in genocide and human rights abuse.
