- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 74-year-old Japanese man who was diagnosed with scleritis of the left eye. The eye disease is a painful disorder of the outer coating of the eye and it is acknowledged that antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated active scleritis has a tendency to produce more inflammation and requires more aggressive therapy. The patient was successfully treated with intravenous pulse cyclophosphamide therapy.
