- Abstract
Throughout the process of designing and running of mechanical devices, estimating the friction force and torque is essential. For the dry friction case, the problem is more complex due to the occurrence of two friction coefficients, static and dynamic, respectively. The paper present a rapid methodology and the test rig utilized for finding the dynamic dry friction coefficient. The experimental data obtained highlight the precision of the proposed method.
