- Abstract
This article explores the prevalence of employment discrimination against minorities in the United States. It presents an analysis of average income received by African-Americans in the U.S. and compares this average with the income of other social groups. This information is then used to examine and measure market discrimination in the U.S. It also discusses the efficiency of government antidiscriminatory programs and presents a broad overview of studies focused on examining government employment programs.
