- Abstract
The article presents information on research papers prepared by researchers at the Industrial Relations Center, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Several studies in the area of human resources management are directed toward the effective utilization and conservation of human resources within organizations. John Campbell is conducting Monte Carlo simulation studies of several typical simulation and prediction situations. The relative utility of alternative prediction models, as a function of various work-force characteristics and different sampling methods, is under study. Patrick Pinto and Rene Dawis are continuing the Triple Audit. This series of studies evaluates personnel policies and practices through the assessment of employee attitudes. Intervention strategies based on a four-factor model of importance and satisfaction and a multiple-measurement longitudinal study are being designed. Pinto has also completed evaluation of training efforts for supervisors of disadvantaged employees.
